Ioannis Papatheodorou is a professional lyric singer and tenor. He holds a Degree in Contemporary Singing from the Hellenic Conservatory, and has studied Classical Guitar and Percussion. Additionally, he pursued studies in Music Technology and Acoustics at the Hellenic Mediterranean University.
His artistic and research interests focus on the preservation and promotion of the cultural and musical traditions of Rhodes. He is particularly dedicated to researching the island’s musical history, specifically its symphonic orchestras and polyphonic choral ensembles. Through his work, Ioannis aims to advance local cultural heritage and foster artistic growth, combining his expertise in vocal performance with a deep commitment to social contribution and community engagement.
He is a founding member of the SCE and its artistic director.
